Her first collaboration with the gallery could not have fit in better with Paula Sanz’s interests. In a group show about Nabokov’s Lolita, she expresses desire, perversion, jealousy, impotence and the mutual fascination between genders.
The following exhibitions travel with the Bolhansecks on a perpetual journey towards an uncertain destination that is not able to free them, because they are loaded down with baggage symbolizing their mistakes, remorse and guilt.
The formats and techniques of the works change: from embroidery on fabric to India ink drawings, collage (increasingly light-weight and almost intuitive), and oil, all of which may or may not be mixed together. The compositional evolution and work with perspective is evident.
La primera colaboración con la galería no podía encajar mejor con las inquietudes de Paula Sanz. En una exposición colectiva sobre Lolita de Navokov se plasman el deseo, el morbo, los celos, la impotencia y la fascinación mutua de los sexos.
Las siguientes exposiciones transitan de la mano de los Bolhanseck en viaje perpetuo hacia un destino incierto que no consigue liberarlos, pues van cargados de maletas que simbolizan sus errores, sus remordimientos y su culpa.
La obra fluctúa en formatos y técnicas: desde el bordado sobre el lienzo al dibujo en tinta china, el collage (cada vez más ligero y casi intuitivo) y el óleo, que pueden aparecer mezclados o no. Es patente la evolución compositiva y el trabajo de la perspectiva.
